Every session tells a story. This one is yours to keep.

ABOUT ME

Picking up the reins at eleven felt natural. Once I picked up the camera at thirteen, I couldn't put it down. By age sixteen, I knew the two belonged together.

My name is Sarah Schemers, an equine photographer based in Wilsonville, Oregon, specializing in horse
and rider portraits and professional equine photography throughout the Pacific Northwest and select
shows along the West Coast.

Work With Sarah

I have spent years learning how to be still, patient, and present. By capturing the little things that

happen between poses, I preserve memories before they're missed.

Working with a live animal means the best images cannot be forced. When your horse is at ease, when

you forget the camera is there, and the light naturally cooperates with the shadows — those make for

the best results behind the lens.

Each session is personalized. Your horse deserves photos that honor them best.
